Freedom to me is packing my bags and leaving on a jet plane!

Unannounced and unhampered I was on my way to Thailand! First stop albeit for a short couple of hours was Bangkok or Krungthep which means city of angels!

As soon as I held my boarding pass my heart started to beat vociferously! I had no doubt that the entire Mumbai airport heard arbitrary boom boom! After I was safely ensconced in my seat I took a minute to look around and see the myriad of faces traveling with me to the same destination. It always fascinates me as to why my fellow passengers are taking this journey!

My ad hoc mind then immediately starts to classify them, hmmm lets see the suit boot type are a no brainer as they obviously are traveling for business! The shorts and sneaker types are sick of their formal clothes and are taking their much needed BREAK! But what about the tapered jeans and shirt types; ‘My Type’ because I was dressed like that? Hmmm if people were to look at me what would they assume as to why I was embarking on this journey??

The unstoppable smile on my face was a dead give away that I was traveling for love! My friends were already in Thailand and they were beckoning me! My dictum is always TRAVEL FOR LOVE! It will take you to places faraway or nearby, to sounds of drum beats or to the the silence of the mountains, to undulated landscapes or to ever changing vistas, to untrammelled seas or to man made water bodies, but travel for love and you will never return the same person.

As soon as I returned from Thailand and got my bags off the conveyor belt I was thinking ” Hmm where will my travels take me next?” A blitzkrieg of names and places ran through my mind! I wasn’t even home and I had taken off to another destination! 🙂
