“The last thing I want to take serious is Myself.”
And Clothes?? Well that’s serious business!”
Standing in front of my wardrobe which is a labyrinth of colors and textures is serious business. Picking the right look for the day/night is serious business (even if its choosing my pjs)
A day seems like a lifetime when I have to sift through an array of sartorial misdemeanours to find the right blouse for my denim skirt. Phew! Slipping in and out of crop tops, jackets, racer backs & sweat shirts felt like I was watching a never ending movie on loop, but with this crisp white shirt I knew I hit a point home. No kidding, the classic blue and white pairing is by in large the safest, coolest and hottest style from time immemorial. And the best part is that you can take this ‘day look’ to a ‘night-look’ just by tweaking your accessories. It’s like creating a little magic.
I styled my well fitted pin tuck shirt and high waist denim skirt in both a casual as well as dressed-up avatar. For the casual day look I opted for something super comfortable, something I could literally fly in. ( Not that I didn’t attempt it! Lol) I opted for my current obsession ‘my white lace-ups’ and threw in my essentials in my hold-all bag. Take off time!
I revamped the casual sporty day look into a night-out-with-my-girls look by simply knocking off my white sneakers and bag. Instead, I opted for a pair of mustard/gold hologram stilettos. To make it fun yet sexy I played with hints of color. I meticulously wrapped a graphic scarf around my wrist and threw some confetti around as I walked along the road with this quirky Lana Del Rey boxy clutch. Is this still serious business? Yes indeed! 🙂
