Kama Ayurveda Product Review

Kama Ayurveda

Hi Lovelies, Today’s blogpost is all about Kama Ayurveda. Kama Ayurveda were super generous and sent me a horde of their products  and guess what I’m ready to share my review on the products with all of you!

As I used these products for two consecutive weeks, my review is purely based on the past 14 days which is a decent amount of time to gauge products and understand how receptive your skin is to them.

Kama Ayurveda

Kama Ayurveda products are 100% natural and are made with plant based ingredients, prepared from organically grown plants and herbs.

Before I begin sharing my review on the products let me inform you about my skin type. I have dry to very dry skin.

You may now read on. 🙂

Packaging

Kama Ayurveda products have the most impressive packaging. If you walk into a department store or pass by their kiosk you can’t help take notice of their products. It’s warm and appealing to the eye. In fact they make a good gifting option. ( Raksha Bhandan is around the corner ..Hint Hint.)

The Pure Water Mists come in tall dark brown plastic bottles that remind me of English vintage bottles. The pressure of the spray nozzle is just right. 4 to 5 sprays and you’ve covered your face & neck. I usually let the pure water rest for a few seconds on my face and then just spread it evenly so that it gets absorbed faster into my skin.

I have used Rose toners in the past and I feel they work wonders on dry skin. Keeping in mind that all products by Kama Ayurveda are 100% pure and non alcoholic, makes this rose water toner feel & smell even better.

2) Kama Ayurveda Pure Mogra Water

About the Product :

The Mogra water helps in hydrating dry skin and uplifts the mood by calming the nerves and alleviating tension. It also claims to reduce fine lines and pigmentation.

My Experience :

My first impression as soon as I sprayed the Pure Mogra Water Mist is that it hit all the right notes of my olfactory organ. The smell of fresh Mogras on my face felt extremely rejuvenating. I can’t say if it helped in reducing fine lines over 14 days but it did uplift my mood every time I used it. I have slight pigmentation around my crows feet area and it could have possibly controlled further pigmentation. The Pure Mogra Water mist has to be my favourite one. It’s worth the try.

  • Smells too good

3) Kama Ayurveda Pure Lavender Water

Kama Ayurveda
Pure Lavender Water

About the Product :

Handpicked from the wild in the Himalayas, this Lavender Water claims to having soothing properties that provide an instant boost to the skin and reduce stress. It’s ideal for hot weather.

My Experience :

If you love the smell of fresh lavenders then this one is something you’ll like. To be honest, I have a soft corner for the Mogra and Rose Toners/mists. Hence I can comfortably say that I would prefer those two over the Pure Lavender Water Mist Spray. All the three Mists have soothing properties and it purely depends on preference. Also I personally feel the ideal time to use the Pure Lavender water Mist is at nights since lavender has sleep inducing properties. It definitely helped me feel relaxed as I lay my head on my pillow. 🙂

Pros :

  • If you like lavenders then this works for you
  • Lavender helps induce sleep
  • Ideal for hot weather
  • Soothes the skin
  • Night time toner

  • Value for money
  • Also Available in 50ml ( Rs 225/-)

  • It requires 4 to 5 sprays each time.

4) Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream

Kama Ayurveda
Kama Ayurveda Night Cream

About The Product :

This night cream is a special blend of precious and rare ingredients to help illuminate the skin color and promote cell growth. This Ayurveda based formula is blended with the finest of saffron from Kashmir and claims to brighten the skin, reduce dark circles and pigmentation. Madder & Aloe Vera have antiseptic properties which prevent fine lines and delays the process of ageing skin. Also claims to protect against bacterial and fungal infections.

Kama Ayurveda

My Experience :

I’m always on a look out for night creams as I believe that the optimum time to pamper your skin is just before you hit the sack. So when I received the Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating & Brightening night cream I was really excited to give this a shot. The brand has added a touch of Ayurveda by packaging the product with a cute little wooden spatula for scooping out the product. Its pretty fancy but I prefer using my finger. The active ingredient in this night cream is Saffron which did help in brightening my face and slightly diminish my laugh lines . However it has a medicinal smell which I didn’t like as much. As I have really bad dark circles, the cream did very little to help. Also the texture takes a while to absorb and my skin feels tight. Having dry skin I prefer an extremely hydrating cream for the night.  This product could work wonders for oily to combination skin type.

Kama Ayurveda

Quantity : 50g

Product Cost : Rs1650/-

Pros

  • Helps in Brightening
  • Contains pure saffron
  • Recommended for normal to oily skin
  • Diminished fine lines
  • Thick texture

Cons

  • Overpowering smell but some people may like that
  • Has no hydrating properties

5)  Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser:

Kama Ayurveda
Kama Ayurveda Face Cleanser

About the Product :

A hydrating face wash filled with natural ingredients, which gently and thoroughly clean skin and claims to remove light makeup. The pure essential oil of rose has excellent emollient and hydrating properties keeping the skin soft and moisturized. Jasmine is an effective toner and helps reduce skin marks and scarring.

Kama Ayurveda
Kama Ayurveda Face Cleanser

My Experience :

Keeping in mind that all Kama Ayurveda products are 100% pure , this face wash/ face cleanser stood true to its word. The first time I pumped out the product to lather up, it wouldn’t as it has very less foaming properties. I massaged the cleanser on my damp face to create mild lather and washed off with tap water. I like the fact that it retains the moisture on my face. As this product also contains aloe vera leaf juice it felt hydrating on my dry skin. The product also claims to wash off light makeup. So here is my take on that aspect. On a daily basis I wear a light minimal coverage BB cream and this product did wash off the light makeup from my face. Of course if you have waterproof mascara or an eye liner on I would suggest you first use a makeup remover and then use the cleanser to wash off the last makeup residue from your skin. Also I required 3 to 4 pumps on each usage which means the product will not last me too long. With regards to claims of removing skin marks and scars, I don’t really have frequent breakouts or scarring so I can’t say whether the product helps in removing scars or not. Over all, this is a feel good product, its light on the skin and cleanses the face.

Quantity :100ml

Product Cost : Rs 675/-

Pros:

  • Smells good
  • Helps in skin hydration ( dry skin)
  • Skin feels soft
  • Travel friendly
  • Contains pure essential oils
  • Helps remove light makeup
  • Available in 50ml Cost: Rs 375/-

Cons:

  • Runny texture
  • Requires 3 to 4 pumps for my face
