3 Ways I Styled My Bomber Jacket

It’s official! Bomber jackets are making a special place in my wardrobe this season. It’s amazing to think about how fashion has been influenced by work wear or purely functional garments.

I have also come to realize how versatile a flight jacket can actually be. It’s effortlessness makes it even more modish. A lot of us may mistake the bomber as an off-duty casual wear but quiet honestly if you style it the right way you are most likely to make heads turn. You don’t really have to do much! Just throw that number on and combine it with your favourite pants, dress or accessory.

For the casual type I styled my navy number with a knotted front style knit cotton skirt. Navy and grey are one of my favourite color pairings. You can never go wrong with this combo! I love the fabric of this skirt as it takes the shape of my body , making me look toner. So if you’re like me, a girl with slightly heavy hips, I’d suggest try a pencil skirt with an oversized bomber and you’re good to go!

Going for long walks, listening to some hip hop & picking myself a short flat white coffee from Star Bucks on my way back, is one of my favourite things to do. With the heavy rains hitting my city last week I was super stoked to venture out and guess what! My partner in crime did it for me! So I teamed my ribbed bomber with the coolest leggings on the planet. I adore these pants and I seldom get an opportunity to wear them. So I took the opportunity to combine the two and created a little magic on a blissful cloudy day!

The immediate word or rather words I associate a bomber jacket to is ‘Top Gun’. It’s the popular Tom Cruise flick that got the bomber jacket in style and how! Taking a hint from there I opted for this chic look. I went for an all-blue ensemble hence I teamed my navy jacket with my distressed boyfriend jeans and a white button down shirt. I threw in a scarf and slipped into my comfy block heels and swung my Carolina blue leather sling bag.
