Picture you upon my knee
Just tea for two
And two for tea
Just me for you
And you for me…alone!
This beautiful song sung by the even more beautiful actress and singer Doris Day reflects on my oh-so-romantic mood today. The crisp weather ushered me into a moral dilemma. Tea for two; but hey I was alone so I thought why not have some fun on my own. I jumped out of my cozy corner, rummaged through my cupboard and pulled out the perfect dress – My Tea Hem Length Dress. It’s this fit-and-flare silhouette that reminisces Audrey Hepburn’s classic style that inspired me to primp up my nippy afternoon. Honestly this is the first time I donned the not-so-midi,not- so-maxi length dress but I can assure you that its not going to be the last time. 🙂
How Did I style my Tea Dress?
As I didn’t want to hold back on creating a look that oozes ‘50s glamour on this cold romantic day, I layered my beige feminine mid-calf dress with a deep brown velvet jacket on my shoulders. To add a playful element to my ensemble, I injected a vintage patterned scarf that ran around my neck and slipped into my ankle strap heels adding oodles of sex appeal to the entire look. Keeping my accessories minimal, I put on these gorgeous hand-made gold plated chandelier earrings. Finally, I sealed the look with a slick back pony tail.Voila!
I’m off to tea.. Happy Tea Time! 🙂 Cheers!
