I am addicted to drug-store make up. The joy of walking past brightly lit aisles swamped with an array of affordable and colorful make up sends my body temperature soaring! Last week I went to a salon in Mumbai and couldn’t help but take notice of a counter at the entrance . Instead of the indigenous shampoo and kertatin products for sale at the Salon I saw something that popped my eyes, MAKE UP!
CATRICE COSMETICS (a brand I heard for the first time ) was showcasing their makeup products . I couldn’t wait to get done with my service ( nothing personal , I had to get rid of my tache aka upper lip). I doubled tipped the girl who was kind enough to make me look like a civilised human being again and in a mad frenzy I rushed to the counter where the goodies were stashed. I wanted to gobble up the entire counter but I showed some restraint and settled for half of it! I stepped out thinking how exciting it would be to share these lovelies with you all. So I went back home , tried out different looks and decided to write a small review on three of the products!

Catrice Kohl Kajal Pencils : What i love the most about these Kohl kajal pencils are the colors and the texture. Its a chalky matte textured liner that glides so smoothly over and under the eye lids and with that very ease it can be removed off with your makeup remover. Very impressive!
Catrice 720 ‘Papaya Don’t Preach’ : This is a kind of color you can never go wrong with. It’s a beautiful peach pressed down eyeshadow pot with high pigmentation. I was literally blown by its texture. Love it!
So where is Catrice Cosmetics from?
It’s a German brand (sister company of Essence Cosmetics ) & is available in very limited countries.
Will it pinch your pocket?
It will because you will be spoiled for choice. But on a serious note, The good news is , it wont! Its economically priced.. Woohoo!!!
Quality ?
I’m lovin it ! And I can assure you, I am already a big fan of this brand.
Where did I buy it from?
I bought the products from YASMIN of Nalini & Yasmin salon. Most of their outlets have the products available.
I was also told that these aren’t available in malls or stand alone makeup stores or drug stores. So if you keen on buying Catrice Cosmetics , you’ll have to go to this salon specifically.
But let me find out where else in Mumbai and other cities do they have them . I will let you all know when I know more! If you have spotted it somewhere, do share!

P. s I think this is worth a mention! There were a couple of other products that were eye catching, one of them were their mascaras . Catrice has 6-7 types of mascaras with different kinds of wands , depending on what you want. If you are looking for volume , length or natural lashes, you might just find THE mascara here! Give it a shot!
The second product i though was really cool was their 5 in 1 concealer palette. Its a steal and that’s definitely going to be my next buy !
Oh Boy! Catrice Cosmetics has not paid me for this review. It is my pure love , passion and excitement for sharing a little knowledge i gained about a product or company I stumbled upon..
Moral of the story: Find treasures in the least of expected places 🙂 🙂
