Hello,
I arrived in the chilly city of Jagraon for my cousin’s wedding. For the uninitiated Jagraon is a small city in the lush state of Punjab.Winter weddings can be lots of fun but they do give endless goosebumps. I cringe at the thought of attending weddings during the foggy and chilling winters. Its like I have more cold feet than the bride .LoL. From packing loads of sweaters and other warm clothes to keeping in mind you don’t want go excess baggage at the airport and then wishing you don’t have to cover your pretty wedding outfits with a shawl or sweater. Its all about looking good under a hailstorm! Isnt’ it?
In Jagraon it was 4 degrees of trepidation I could hear my teeth chattering away the blues. I threw caution to the wind and wrapped myself in four layers of clothing and headed to the eye of the storm.
I wore a warmer underneath my button downed white shirt , which i think was the most important layer among all, wore a sweater over it and finally threw my leather jacket on top. I chose to wear my black leather skinnys as they were of a thick fabric and kept my legs really warm and teamed my Boots with the entire look.
I could still feel the chill in my bones, but when I saw a rickshaw guy working in such tortuous weather I immediately kicked myself! What the hell was I complaining about? I ran madly after the rickshaw guy, hailed it and asked him to take me for a grand tour of the city!
I have now come to the conclusion that i DO like the winters and can attend a winter wedding every ten years. Haha!
Thanks Dad for taking these beautiful pictures 🙂 Your’e the Best!
